Q1 - When can I register my child for Arizona Tamil School?

Registration for new students for the school year 2024-25 is currently open. Kindly register by clicking here if you are interested in enrolling your child at our school.

Q2 - How do I make the registration payment for the school?

Tamil school registration payment of $275 (per child) will be collected online through the ITA portal during the registration.

Q3 - From what age can my child attend Arizona Tamil School?

Your child can join the school as early as age 3.

Q4 - What curriculum does Arizona Tamil School follow?

Arizona Tamil School follows the ITA (International Tamil Academy) curriculum. ITA was previously called CTA (California Tamil Academy). More information can be found on their website ITA (www.catamilacademy.org)

Q5 - When do the classes at Arizona Tamil School begin?

The classes at Arizona Tamil School will begin in August 2024

Q6 - What day/time are the classes offered at Arizona Tamil School?

Classes are offered every Saturday.  All grades are from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM

Q7 - Will there be classes offered on any day other than Saturday?

At this time, classes are planned to be offered only on Saturday, 2:00 PM to 3:30PM for all grades. 

Q8 - Where will the classes be held?

The classes will be held at Desert Sage Elementary School, 4035 W. Alameda Road ,Glendale, AZ 85310

Q9 - What is the fee per child?

Our annual fee per child for the school year 2024-25 is $275. The annual fee covers the classroom rental fee, ITA web portal and student books, classroom supplies for the students and teachers and administrative expenses to run a public school. Also complimentary Arizona Tamil Sangam Family Membership Included. Please note that all teachers and administrative staff of Arizona Tamil School are all volunteers and are not paid any money from the school for their services. 

Once you register on ITA, online payment of $275 per child should be made. Payment needs to be made when you register your child on the ITA webpage. Instruction and details for registration have been emailed to the parents who are registered with the school. For any questions, please contact us at info@phoenix.aztamilschools.org

Q11 - Can we cancel a registration?

Yes, you can cancel a registration before the school year starts in August, and any fees paid will be refunded after subtracting any processing fees.

Q12 - Do you offer classes for kids at different levels?

We offer classes from Preschool to Grade 8.

Q13 - Can I volunteer?

Yes. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us by email - info@phoenix.aztamilschools.org 

Q14 - Do you take beginners if they are at any grade in school level?

Yes, we accept beginners aged 3 years and older. Older kids will be evaluated and placed in an appropriate level.

Q15 - Apart from regular curriculum learning, will there be any events?

Yes, we will organize social and cultural events to imbue students with Tamil language and culture.

Q16 - Is family membership in the Arizona Tamil Sangam included with Tamil school enrollment? 

Yes, family membership in the Arizona Tamil Sangam is included with Tamil school enrollment. If you enroll one child in the Tamil school, a family membership for three is included. If you enroll two children, a family membership for four is included. The membership is valid for the duration of the school calendar year. If your child is no longer enrolled in the Tamil school, you will need to purchase a separate membership to continue enjoying the benefits.
